The Process

Step 1 CONSULTATION

Your millinery journey begins with a personalised consultation at our Port Fairy studio or via phone or email. Here we will discuss:

Colours, fabrics, and embellishments

This ensures your custom race headpiece, fascinator, or headband perfectly complements your look and makes a statement on race day.

Step 2: Concept and Design

Jodi takes your ideas and brings them to life with her expert eye for proportion, balance, and racing style. Together you will explore a range of millinery designs, from classic brimmed hats and structured fascinators to bold statement headpieces designed to turn heads in the Fashions on the Field arena.

Step 3: Selecting Materials

Every material is hand-selected for quality, comfort, and style. Using premium sinamay, feathers, fabrics, ribbons, and trims, Jodi ensures your custom race day headpiece looks stunning and feels effortless to wear all day.

Step 4: The Creation

This is where craftsmanship meets couture. In her Port Fairy studio, Jodi handcrafts your design with meticulous attention to detail, shaping, stitching, and perfecting every element by hand. The result is a piece that is elegant, refined, and ready to shine trackside.

Step 5: Fitting and Finishing Touches

Once your headpiece is complete, a personalised fitting ensures it sits perfectly, feels comfortable, and enhances your overall race day look. Any final refinements are made so your custom design is ready for the spotlight.

Step 6: Collection or Delivery

Collect your creation from our Port Fairy studio or have it delivered to your door. We offer Australia-wide shipping for $20 and can arrange international delivery upon request.
